Teatum Jones at The Dorchester (a wonderful day out with Mum)

Warning: This will be a biased post as I absolutely LOVE the Dorchester, and Teatum Jones! (Why are they not included in London Fashion Week? Someone please?)

We arrived slightly early and it was a gorgeous day so we done a bit of tourist style sight-seeing…

But down to the point, Teatum Jones hosted a fashion show during a sitting of afternoon tea at the Dorchester back in September and I was lucky enough to get two tickets (one for me and one for Mum) Teatum Jones also designed a scarf in collaboration with the Dorchester hotel which is sold at Libertys.

Having been to the Dorchester for afternoon tea a couple of times before I knew I was in for a treat before arriving! – you honestly wont believe sandwiches can taste so good until you go (and yes better than M&S) Pricey but  definitely worth it, finger sandwiches, tea, champagne, scones. Very british, excellent service, amazing setting, exquisite flower arrangements, I cannot fault the Dorchester. – It is pretentious yes but where in Central London isn’t?
– Good enough for the Queen, good enough for me ;)

Beautiful desserts.

The Teatum Jones presentation was beautiful, the models looked amazing (being 6ft tall and teeny weeny certainely does help), most of which had ‘undone’ neat hairstyles, for e.g: a pulled back ponytail with a bit of backcombing at the crown.
Most models were holding a parcel of delicate looking books, each covered in a floral printed paper which were tied together with a piece of string.Grey, dusty pink and zesty lemons were the colours of choice with touches of floral, the fabrics were beautiful, whether flowing effortlessly or holding a more structured cocoon shape. The collection flowed and I don’t think there was one non-wearable piece. All in all a wonderful day!

A lovely print!

A bit of a blurry image, but here you can see the parcelled books.
One of my favourite looks, the fabric on this was exquisite

The lovely staff at the Dorchester could tell how much I adored the scones so boxed me some up to take away!
Perfect end to a perfect day.
